These terms are the agreement between you and SocialCoffee. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create one — and if you already did, close it in Settings.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age your country's law requires, if higher. Giving a false age to create an account is grounds for closure.
Your account
The account is yours and personal. There is no password: access is by a code sent to your email, so keep that email secure. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
Your handle is an address, not a possession. If you change it or close the account, it becomes available to someone else.
One e-mail address can hold up to 5 accounts, each with its own handle, feed, followers and conversations. The accounts on one e-mail belong to the same person; what applies to one applies to all — including suspension and banning.
What you post stays yours
The content you post is yours. So that the app can display it — in the feed of people who follow you, in search, on your profile — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display and distribute that content within SocialCoffee. This licence exists only to operate the service and ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies other people have already received, such as a sent message.
We do not sell your content, do not licence it to third parties, and do not use it to train third-party models.
Post only what is yours or what you have the right to post. Someone else's photo, copied text and third-party trademarks used without permission may be removed upon notice from the rights holder.
Zero tolerance
There is no room here for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You may not post, send or encourage:
- Any child sexual abuse or exploitation material.
- Threats, incitement to violence, or glorification of violent acts.
- Hate speech or attacks on a person or group based on race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Harassment, stalking, intimidation, or exposing other people's data.
- Sexually explicit content or nudity.
- Encouragement of self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
- Sale of illegal substances, weapons or otherwise prohibited goods.
- Spam, scams, deliberate deception, or impersonation.
- Use of bots, automated scraping, or attempts to circumvent the app's protections.
Some of this is blocked automatically at the moment of posting. Anything that gets past the filter can be reported by any user, and we review it.
Reporting, blocking and moderation
Every post, comment, story, profile and conversation has a report button, under the ⋯. Reports are anonymous: the person reported does not learn who reported them. You can also block anyone, and blocking works both ways — you stop seeing each other.
We review reports within a reasonable time and may remove content, suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. For serious violations — particularly the first two on the list above — the account is closed without prior notice, and the case is referred to the authorities where the law requires it.
Shop and purchases
The social network works worldwide. The shop does not: for now it operates only in Brazil, and people outside see the catalogue in read-only mode. This limits no other part of the app.
Coffee and equipment are physical goods, delivered outside the app, and are therefore paid by card or by the payment methods on your device, not by in-app purchase. The seller is the roaster or the listing shop, responsible for the product, the deadline and the delivery. Brazilian consumer law applies, including the seven-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases.
Beans are gamification points with no monetary value. They are not currency, cannot be bought, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged for money.
What we do not promise
SocialCoffee is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability, nor that content posted by other people is true, safe or suitable. Ratings and recipes are the opinion of whoever wrote them.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits. Nothing here removes rights that consumer law grants you.
Closing
You may deactivate or close your account whenever you want, in Settings — and the privacy policy explains what happens to your data in each case. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, or when the law requires it.
Changes to these terms
When the text changes materially, the version goes up and we ask you to read and accept it again before continuing. The version and date of this page are in the footer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. The courts of the consumer's domicile are elected to settle disputes, as provided by law.
